Early Life
Arun Bharat Ram, a third-generation entrepreneur, was born into the illustrious Shri Ram family in Delhi. He completed his schooling at The Doon School in Dehradun and pursued Industrial Engineering at the University of Michigan, USA. Prior to that, he acquired a Vor-Diplom from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
Rise to Success
Ram's career began in 1966 with the textile division of DCM Ltd.. In 1970, he founded SRF Limited, initially manufacturing nylon tire cords, and transformed it into a leading, diversified chemical conglomerate. Under his leadership, SRF expanded its product range and global presence, becoming a market leader in various segments.

Arun Bharat Ram is credited with an innate ability to exploit early opportunities, turning his family-owned business into a world-class organization. His strategies included a focus on quality and a commitment to innovation, leading to the Deming Application Prize for SRF's tyre cord business in 2004. He also foresaw the impact of economic reforms, adapting the company to global market demands. Ram has emphasized the importance of ethics, integrity, and employee well-being within SRF.
Philanthropy
Ram actively promotes education and social welfare through the SRF Foundation. The Foundation focuses on providing quality education, promoting health and hygiene, and managing natural resources. Ram also serves as the Chairman of Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi and The Shri Ram Schools.
