Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria, on July 30, 1947. He began lifting weights at 15. He won the Mr. Universe title at 20 in 1967, and subsequently won Mr. Olympia seven times. In 1968, he moved to the United States to further his bodybuilding career and pursue opportunities in acting. He became a U.S. citizen in 1983.
