Early Life
Antonio Percassi was born in Clusone, Italy, on June 9, 1953. He was the youngest of six children. Percassi began his sports career at 17, playing football for Atalanta. He ended his football career at 23 to pursue entrepreneurship.
Rise to Success
Percassi's entrepreneurial journey began in 1976 when he met Luciano Benetton, opening his first Benetton store the following year. This marked the start of a 30-year collaboration with the Benetton family. He developed brands like United Colors, Zerdodici, Sisley, and Playlife. In 1997, Percassi launched Kiko Make Up Milano with his son, Stefano, achieving rapid international expansion. In 2001, he partnered with Inditex to bring Zara to Italy. Percassi also partnered with Flavio Briatore in 2007 to develop the luxury-clothing brand Billionaire Italian Couture. He has also acquired the historic make-up brand Madina and launched the men's body care brand Womo. Percassi also has significant real estate ventures.
