Anne Gilberte Marie Beaufour was born on August 8, 1963, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. She is the daughter of Albert Beaufour and the granddaughter of Dr. Henri Beaufour, who founded the Beaufour laboratories in 1929, the predecessor to the global pharmaceutical company Ipsen. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the pharmaceutical industry, Anne developed an early interest in business and science. She pursued her education at the University of Paris-Sud, earning a degree in geology.
Rise to Success
After graduating, Anne Beaufour joined the family business, Ipsen. She climbed the ranks and eventually served as the Chief Operating Officer. After her father's death in 2000, Anne and her brother Henri Beaufour inherited the majority of the family's 76% stake in Ipsen. Together, they control 57% of Ipsen. Under their leadership, Ipsen expanded its global reach, with products sold in over 115 countries.
