Early Life
Andrei Rappoport was born in Nova Kakhovka, Ukraine, in 1963. He graduated from Donetsk State University with a degree in economics in 1989. He pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Sociology in 1997. Rappoport also studied at Santa Clara University in the USA as part of a student exchange program.
Rise to Success
Rappoport's career began in management consulting. He co-founded Alfa-Bank, where he served as the first CEO. He then held key positions in YUKOS-Rosprom and RAO UES. Rappoport later acquired Georgian Global Utilities and a Georgian water and power company, which he sold to BGEO Group in 2016.
