Early Life

Anand Mahindra was born in Bombay, India, into a prominent business family. He completed his schooling at Lawrence School, Lovedale, and later pursued filmmaking and architecture at Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude in 1977. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1981.

Mahindra joined the Mahindra Group in 1981. His career progressed, and he played a key role in transforming the company from a steel company into a global conglomerate. He became the Chairman of the Mahindra Group in 2012.
