Early Life
Tse Ping was born into the Dhanin family, a prominent Asian clan. In the 1950s, most of the family immigrated to Thailand, but Tse remained in China. He was sent to the countryside during the Cultural Revolution, missing the opportunity to attend college.
Rise to Success
Tse Ping entered the pharmaceutical industry, where he saw potential in the counter-cyclical nature of the industry. He gained over 21 years of experience in pharmaceutical investment and management. Under his leadership, Sino Biopharmaceutical became a significant competitor in the hepatitis drugs and therapeutic microsphere targeted medicine markets. His progress attracted foreign investors, including Goldman Sachs, who acquired a stake in the company. Sino Biopharmaceutical won the Forbes Asia “Best Under the $1 billion enterprise within the Asia Pacific Region” award in 2005.
