Ketchum's professional journey includes significant roles at top financial institutions. Before founding Sound Point Capital Management, he was the Global Head of Media & Telecom Investment and Corporate Banking for Banc of America Securities. He also held a position as a Managing Director at UBS in the TMT Investment Banking Group. From 1990 to 2000, he was employed in the Investment Banking Department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, most recently as a Managing Director. These experiences gave him a comprehensive understanding of investment strategies and credit markets.

In 2008, Ketchum founded Sound Point Capital Management, LP. Under his leadership, the firm has become a leading credit asset manager, specializing in CLOs and structured credit investments.
