Early Life
Sol Daurella Comadrán was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1966. She is the granddaughter of Santiago Daurella Rull and the daughter of José Daurella Franco, who was involved in the import of salted cod and was an entrepreneur, respectively. The Daurella family's connection to Coca-Cola dates back to 1951 when they obtained the license to bottle and distribute Coca-Cola in Spain. Daurella received her education in an English school in Montreux, Switzerland, and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona, an MBA from ESADE, and a master's degree in Finance from the University of Berkeley.
Rise to Success
Daurella began her professional career at Mac Group, a strategic consultancy firm, before joining the Coca-Cola System in 1992. She became chairwoman of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) after the merger of Coca-Cola Iberian Partners, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and the German bottler in May 2016.
Key Business Strategies
As chairwoman of CCEP, Daurella oversees operations in 31 markets across Europe, Asia, and Oceania, with a reported revenue of $22 billion in 2024. She owns approximately 7% of CCEP.
Philanthropy
Daurella has been involved in nonprofit organizations dedicated to cancer research, health, well-being, and education. She served as the chair of the Fundación FERO from 2019 to 2023. She also serves on the board of trustees for the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO).
