Shyam Sunder Bhartia holds a degree in commerce and began his career with a deep understanding of business operations and finance. His early experiences helped him develop a sharp business acumen and a passion for building enterprises that combine innovation, sustainability, and economic impact. He is a qualified cost and works accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI).
Rise to Success
Together with his brother, Hari S. Bhartia, Shyam co-founded the Jubilant Bhartia Group. Under his leadership, the Group has expanded into multiple verticals and built a strong presence in India and international markets. The Jubilant Bhartia Group has four flagship companies listed on Indian Stock Exchanges: Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, and Jubilant Industries Limited. In December 2024, the Bhartia brothers acquired a 40% stake in Coca-Cola's Indian bottler for $1.5 billion.
