Early Life and Education
Seth Boro, originally from Canada, received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University School of Business and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Boro began his career as an analyst at First Marathon Securities, now National Bank Financial, before joining Credit Suisse in Toronto. Prior to joining Thoma Bravo in 2005, he was part of the investment team at Summit Partners, where he focused on private equity investments in technology and business services.
Rise to Success
Boro's career took a significant turn when he joined Thoma Bravo, where he became a Partner in 2010 and a Managing Partner in 2013. His role at Thoma Bravo involves leading the firm's infrastructure software and cybersecurity strategy. He is responsible for executing new deals, growing portfolio companies as an active board member, and managing the firm. During his time at Thoma Bravo, Boro has held more than 30 board seats and led over 15 exits, helping to establish one of the largest cybersecurity portfolios in private equity.
