Early Life and Education
Sergey Nikolaevich Shishkarev was born in Novorossiysk on February 2, 1968. In 1985, he entered the Minsk State Institute of Foreign Languages. During his second year, he served in the Marine Corps of the Northern Fleet. Upon the recommendation of his superiors, he was accepted into the Military Red Banner Institute of the Ministry of Defense, where he specialized in Western languages, graduating with honors in 1992 with a degree in military interpretation.
Rise to Success
Sergey Shishkarev founded Delo Group in 1993, and he headed it until 1999. Under his leadership, Delo Group has grown into a major transportation and logistics holding company in Russia. The company' s core asset is DeloPorts, which owns several terminals in the Novorossiysk sea port. He was elected to the Board of Directors of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) twice. In 2022 Delo acquired shipping company SASCO and a stake in Maersk's Global Ports, Russia's largest container operator.

Delo Group's success is based on client-centricity, continuous efficiency improvement, and digitalization. The group has a strategy of investing in modern transport infrastructure, building berths, and acquiring modern port equipment. The Group has expanded through strategic acquisitions and partnerships, including a 30% stake purchased by Rosatom in 2019 and the acquisition of the Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) in 2022, which has helped to strengthen its position in the market.
Philanthropy
At the initiative of Sergey Shishkarev, Delo Group has launched and implemented a demographic project to increase birth rates and support motherhood and childhood. Delo Group has also supported the construction of a building at the Izmalkovo Boarding House for Children with Cancer.
