Rise to Success
In 1973, Renuka's late husband, Micky Jagtiani, founded the Landmark Group in Bahrain. She initially supported him in various roles, learning the complexities of the retail business. After Micky Jagtiani's death in May 2023, Renuka took over as Chairwoman and CEO of the Landmark Group, overseeing all operations and strategic decisions. Her leadership has focused on innovation, customer satisfaction, and social responsibility.
Key Business Strategies
Renuka has been instrumental in driving the group's growth and diversification. Since joining Landmark Group in 1993, she played a key role in shaping the company's corporate strategy and expanding its presence across the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Renuka spearheaded Landmark Group's diversification into retail categories and hospitality. Her strategic focus has led to significant growth in the company's revenue and market share. She also launched Splash, a high-street fashion brand. Under her leadership, Landmark Group has witnessed significant digital transformation, pioneering omnichannel retail practices.
Philanthropy
Renuka is also committed to philanthropy and social responsibility. She supports educational initiatives for underprivileged children and is involved in healthcare projects to improve community health. Through The LIFE Trust, founded by Landmark Group in 2000, she provides quality education to underprivileged children. In 2020, Landmark Group and The Jagtiani Foundation committed AED15 million (approximately $4.08 million) to support communities impacted by COVID-19 across the Middle East and India.
