Rise to Success
Unger's career began with a tire deal in 1985. He invested the proceeds from this deal into a new venture, Auto-Teile-Unger (ATU), an auto parts and repair business. By 2002, ATU had grown to include operations in several countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. The company employed over 12,000 associates and had around 600 stores.
