Early Life
Nerio Alessandri was born in Gatteo, Italy, on April 8, 1961. He was born to a construction worker and an operator. Alessandri's passion for sports and design led him to found Technogym. He studied industrial design and started the company at the age of 22.
Rise to Success
Alessandri started Technogym in 1983, building exercise equipment in his garage in Cesena. His early innovations included the Isotonic Line in 1984 and Unica, a home trainer in 1986. He also patented the CPR system, an algorithm for constant heart rate training. In the 1990s, he defined the Wellness concept, promoting a lifestyle focused on physical activity, a balanced diet, and a positive mindset. Technogym became a world leader with a global presence and numerous installations. Technogym has been the official supplier for the Olympic Games for several editions.
