Rise to Success
Li Shui-po's career started in a steel mill in Dajia District, Taichung, where he worked his way up to factory director. In 1991, he co-founded Kinglai Hygienic Materials with his wife. With his wife's background in international trade, they secured their first significant contract with a US customer, a $40,000 order. In 2000, following the suggestion of his father-in-law, he made a strategic move to relocate Kinglai's headquarters to Kunshan, Jiangsu, China. This decision led to the company's first major order in China from Yili Group.
