Early Life
Li Jianquan was born in November 1957. Before starting his own business, he worked in a state-owned enterprise in international trade for nearly 10 years.
Rise to Success
In 1991, Li founded Zhuhai Wenjian Medical Textile Co., Ltd., later known as Winner Medical. He started by manufacturing medical dressings for export, determined to overcome the low-quality reputation of Chinese medical products. From 1991 to 2001, Winner Medical became the export champion of the medical dressing industry. In 2009, Li launched the consumer brand Purcotton, specializing in products made from 100% natural cotton, which significantly boosted the company's growth. Winner Medical was successfully listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2020.

Philanthropy
Li Jianquan donated US$10 million to his alma mater, WTU, for the construction of research facilities. Winner Medical ensured terminal supply during supply chain pressures and donated medical supplies during crises.
