Juan Abello Gallo was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1941. His father was a pharmacist. He holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid (1963) and a doctorate in pharmacy from the same institution (1978).
Rise to Success
Abello's career began in 1966 when he became the Managing Director of Antibióticos, S.A., the family's pharmaceutical company. In 1986, he sold the family's pharmaceutical assets and began investing in various industries. In 1990, he founded Torreal, a global investment firm. Torreal has made significant investments in diverse sectors and regions. In 2013, through Torreal, he invested in Investindustrial, which controlled 37.5% of the automobile manufacturer Aston Martin. In 2018, he started Linneo Health, a company focused on cannabis-derived products.
