Igor Bukhman was born on March 29, 1982, in Vologda, Russia. From a young age, he showed a strong interest in programming. In 1999, he began studying Applied Mathematics at Vologda State Pedagogical Institute.

In 2001, alongside his brother Dmitry, Igor started developing and selling PC games online. This marked the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. They officially founded Playrix in 2004, initially focusing on casual PC games. The company transitioned to mobile platforms, creating hit titles such as Homescapes, Gardenscapes, Fishdom, and Township.
