Early Life
Fu Liquan was born on August 1, 1967, in Hangzhou, China. He graduated from Zhejiang Shuren University with a degree in radio engineering in 1989. Following graduation, Fu began his career at a small electrical equipment factory, gaining valuable experience that would later inform his entrepreneurial endeavors.
Rise to Success
In 1993, Fu Liquan, driven by an entrepreneurial ambition, established his own equipment plant, which would later be the genesis of Zhejiang Dahua Technology. Dahua was officially founded in 2001 by Fu Liquan and his wife, Chen Ailing. They initially invested $60,000 into the company. The company grew by leaps and bounds in a span of 10 years. Fu served as the chairman of Dahua Technology, and the company quickly established a global business network. Dahua’s equipment sold has diversified and broadened with products being compatible for multiple industries such as banking, energy, and transport. Dahua has also worked on major projects such as Olympic venues and the Kremlin palace in Russia.

Fu Liquan's leadership has been marked by a strong focus on innovation and expansion. He spearheaded Dahua's investment in research and development, leading to the integration of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and deep learning into surveillance systems. Fu also launched “Video+” strategy which led to multi-dimensional senses and applications. Dahua's success is also partly due to its focus on government-recommended products in China. His strategic vision has been key to the company’s growth and its position in the global market.
Philanthropy
Fu Liquan contributed RMB 6 million to Zhejiang Shuren University to set up a scholarship to reward students with outstanding characters and the desire for self-improvement.
