Farhad Moshiri was born in Iran in 1955, but his family left the country shortly before the 1979 revolution. He studied economics and statistics at University College London and later qualified as a chartered certified accountant.
Rise to Success
Moshiri's career began in professional services, working at Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche. He then became involved in business ventures, forming a partnership with Alisher Usmanov. Together, they co-owned Red & White Holdings, which acquired a stake in Arsenal Football Club. Moshiri's primary source of wealth is diversified. In 2016, Moshiri sold his Arsenal shares to invest in Everton Football Club. He increased his stake in the club to 94%. In December 2024, he agreed to sell his shares in Everton to Dan Friedkin.
