Early Life
Eduardo Eurnekian was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 4, 1932, to Armenian immigrant parents. His family had a textile business, which laid the foundation for his future entrepreneurial endeavors. The family's textile business supplied to international brands including Puma.
Rise to Success
Eurnekian's career began in the textile industry, but he later ventured into the cable TV business in the 1980s. He acquired Cablevisión S.A., a failing local cable TV station, and transformed it into one of the largest private cable TV companies in Latin America. He sold his stake in Cablevision for $750 million, and the deal became one of the largest M&A transactions in Argentina during the 1990s. In 1998, Eurnekian formed Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, which secured a 30-year concession to operate 33 of Argentina's airports. Corporación América Airports went public on the New York Stock Exchange in February 2018. He also has investments in media, energy, and agriculture.

He also donated $15 million for a hospital in Ezeiza, Argentina, and provided relief support for earthquake victims. Eurnekian has also supported the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).
