Carl Reinhold Adolf Bennet was born on August 19, 1951, in Helsingborg, Sweden. He is a member of the Swedish noble family Bennet and holds the title of baron. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and earned an MBA from the University of Gothenburg in 1976.

Rise to Success

In 1976, Bennet began his career at Kockums and later at Electrolux. He served as CEO of Electrolux in Alingsås from 1982 to 1988. In 1989, Bennet founded Carl Bennet AB and acquired Getinge AB from Electrolux. Within six months, Getinge turned a profit under his leadership. Getinge was listed on the stock exchange in 1993. In 1997, Carl Bennet AB became the majority owner of Getinge and Elanders AB.
