Early Life
Leonid Boguslavsky was born on June 17, 1951, in Moscow, USSR. He displayed academic talent early on, excelling in mathematics and science. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineering (MIIT) in 1973 with a degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He also holds a Doctorate in Computer Science from the Institute of Control Sciences.
Rise to Success
Boguslavsky's career began in computer science and research. In the early 1990s, he founded LVS, a systems integration business, and later sold it to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 1996. He then transitioned into venture capital, co-founding ru-Net Holdings in 2000, which was later rebranded as RTP Global. Boguslavsky made several investments in the early days of the internet, including a successful early bet on Yandex.

Boguslavsky's investment strategy focuses on early-stage technology companies, particularly in North America, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia. He launched a new $650 million fund in 2020 to continue backing early-stage tech startups. His approach involves hands-on mentorship and guidance for founders, helping them scale their businesses globally. RTP Global has invested in over 150 companies, with several becoming multibillion-dollar public companies, including Datadog, Delivery Hero, and RingCentral.
Philanthropy
Boguslavsky is actively involved in philanthropy, making impact investments in culture, education, sports, and health sectors across Europe and the US. He established the Andrei Voznesensky Fund and the Andrei Voznesensky Center of Culture.
