Early Life
Leonid Boguslavsky was born on June 17, 1951, in Moscow, USSR. He excelled in mathematics and science, winning the Moscow University Biology Olympiad in sixth grade and the USSR TV Mathematics Olympiad in seventh grade. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineering with a degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics in 1973.
Rise to Success
Boguslavsky's career began in scientific research, and he later became a professor at the University of Toronto. He transitioned to entrepreneurship, founding LVS, a systems integration business, which he sold to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 1997. In 2000, he co-founded ru-Net Holdings Limited, which evolved into RTP Global, a venture capital firm. Boguslavsky made key investments in companies like Yandex, EPAM, and Datadog, with Datadog's IPO yielding a significant return.
