Early Life
Andrei Ravelevich Kuzyaev was born on October 6, 1965, in Perm, Russia. His parents worked at a school and an engineering plant. As a child, he enjoyed swimming and boxing. He graduated with honors from Perm State University with a degree in Industrial Planning. During his studies, he participated in the construction detachment movement.
Rise to Success
Kuzyaev's career began with a role as an economist at the Perm factory Kommunar, followed by a position as an assistant in the Department of Political Economy at Perm State University. He was involved in the creation of the Perm Mercantile Exchange. He then served as the General Director of CJSC Lukoil-Perm from 1996 to 2003. Kuzyaev sold his stake in Lukoil-Perm to Lukoil in 2003. From 2000 to 2014, he was involved in Lukoil's international projects as the president of Lukoil Overseas. In 2015, Kuzyaev became the president of ER-Telecom. In 2018, he became the General Director of ER-Telecom.

Kuzyaev's wealth is derived from Luch Capital, an investment firm whose portfolio includes ER-Telecom, the third-largest broadband internet provider in Russia. In 2022 Luch Capital rebranded from its former name Perm Financial and Industrial Group (PFIG), which Kuzyaev started in the 1990s. Kuzyaev's strategy included acquiring a stake in the IT company Sharks Data Center during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He has also been involved with the development of communications equipment for the Russian defense industry through his company Morion.
