Zhang Gongyun, a native of Gaomi, China, was born in 1963. He started his career at Gaomi Metalforming Machine Tool Factory, where he gained extensive experience in the industry. In 1996, he took a significant step by purchasing a struggling maintenance workshop, setting the stage for his entrepreneurial journey.
Rise to Success
In 1995, Zhang Gongyun founded Himile Group, which would later become a global leader in tire mold manufacturing. A pivotal moment came when Zhang proposed transforming the company's focus to manufacturing high-end radial tire building drums, a move that set the company on a path of rapid growth. Himile went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2011.
