Early Life

Yoo Jung-hyun was born on April 16, 1969, in South Korea. She is the widow of Kim Jung-ju, the founder of Nexon, a leading online gaming company. Yoo joined NXC, Nexon's holding company, in 1995.

Rise to Success

Her rise to prominence began after the death of her husband, Kim Jung-ju, in 2022. She inherited a significant stake in NXC, becoming the largest shareholder with a 34% stake. She also directly held approximately 16.3% of Nexon stock. In 2024, NXC announced it was buying some of its shares from Yoo and her children. She currently holds the position of Director of NXC. Her net worth is estimated at $2.9 billion as of February 2026.
