Early Life and Education
Lee Seo-hyun was born on September 20, 1973, as the second daughter of Lee Kun-hee, the late chairman of Samsung Electronics. Her grandfather, Lee Byung-chul, was the founder of Samsung. She graduated from Kyonggi Elementary School, Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and the Parsons School of Design in 1997.
Rise to Success
Lee Seo-hyun's career began in 2002 when she joined Cheil Industries as the head of the fashion research department. She rose through the ranks, becoming the vice president of Cheil Industries and later the president of Everland's fashion division in 2013. From December 2015 to December 2018, she served as president of the Samsung C&T Fashion Group. In April 2024, she was appointed as president of Samsung C&T Corporation, overseeing brand enhancement strategies.
Key Business Strategies
Lee's strategy includes overseeing the brand enhancement across Samsung C&T's diverse business sectors, including construction, trade, fashion, and resorts. Her experience and expertise in leading Samsung's cultural projects and social contributions are expected to boost Samsung C&T's brand competitiveness. Notable achievements include developing the casual-wear brand Bean Pole and contributing to the acquisition of the Italian exotic leather brand Colombo via della Spiga. In 2014, she launched the street fashion brand Nonagon in partnership with YG Entertainment.

Lee Seo-hyun is also involved in philanthropy as the chairperson of the Samsung Welfare Foundation.
