Susan Carol Holland was born on May 27, 1956, in Milan, Italy. She holds dual Italian and British citizenship. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology from Keele University in the United Kingdom and a Master's degree in Speech Therapy from the University of Milan.
Rise to Success
Holland began her career as a speech therapist at Milan General Hospital from 1982 to 1983. She transitioned to the marketing department of Amplifon's personal computer division from 1983 to 1991. Joining the Amplifon Board of Directors in 1988, she was appointed Vice-Chairperson in 1993 and took over as Chairperson in 2011. During her tenure, Amplifon expanded into digital hearing technologies and entered international markets through strategic acquisitions, including Miracle-Ear in North America in 1999.
