Early Life
Sergei Sudarikov was born in Moscow in 1971. He graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Mechanics and Mathematics in 1993. He later pursued further education, earning a degree in Finance and Credit from the All-Russian Correspondence Financial and Economic Institute in 1999. Sudarikov's early business ventures included selling books in the early 1990s.
Rise to Success
Sudarikov began his career in the financial market in 1994. He joined the Region Group of Companies in 1995, working his way up through the ranks. In 1997, he became the Commercial Director of Region Investment Company and was appointed General Director in 2001. Sudarikov became the key owner of the Region Group in 2011.
Key Business Strategies
Sudarikov's business strategy has focused on strategic acquisitions and the expansion of the Region Group. In 2011, Region Group acquired several asset management businesses from Rosneft, becoming one of Russia's largest investment groups. In 2019, Sudarikov agreed to merge his assets with Roman Avdeev's Rossium concern. In 2024, he bought Avdeev's stake and became the owner of 93% of Rossium.
