Early Life
Mark L. Attanasio was born on September 29, 1957, in the Bronx, New York. He is the son of Joseph Attanasio, a commercial consultant, and Connie Attanasio, a real estate broker. Attanasio grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey, and graduated from Tenafly High School in 1975. He went on to earn a B.A. from Brown University in 1979 and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1982.
Rise to Success
Attanasio began his career in law. He transitioned into finance, co-founding Crescent Capital Group in 1991, a Los Angeles-based investment firm. He has been an investment management executive for over 35 years. In 2005, he became the principal owner of the Milwaukee Brewers. Under his leadership, the Brewers have achieved considerable success, holding the fourth-highest winning percentage in the National League since 2005. He has also expanded his sports investments to include the English football club Norwich City, where he is the majority shareholder. He is also the Chairman of Major League Baseball's Investment Committee.
