Early Life and Education
Chad Richison was born in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tuttle High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in 1993. At UCO, he was a member of the wrestling team.
Rise to Success
Richison's career began in the payroll processing industry. He worked for ADP and a regional payroll provider before founding Paycom in 1998 at the age of 27. He has been the CEO and President since its founding. Paycom was one of the first companies to process payroll entirely online. Under Richison's leadership, Paycom went public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2014.
