Madeleine Olsson Eriksson was born on August 25, 1945, in Gothenburg, Sweden. She is the daughter of Sten Allan Olsson, the founder of Stena Sphere, and Birgit Andersson. She grew up as the oldest child in the Olsson family, a prominent shipping family in Sweden.
Rise to Success
After graduating from the Latin line, she attended Lund University and earned a bachelor's degree. She later pursued a career in medicine, studying at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and receiving her medical license in 1981. Before the 1990s she worked in health and medical care in Gotland. From the 1990s, she has been working at Avenykliniken in central Gothenburg, which she owns together with two partners. In 1996, Madeleine Olsson Eriksson became the chairman of the Sten A Olsson's Foundation for Research and Culture.
