Lim Hariyanto Wijaya Sarwono's journey began with his father, Lim Tju King, who emigrated from China to East Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1915. His father started a grocery store, which formed the foundation for the family's future business success.
Rise to Success
Lim Hariyanto expanded the family business, recognizing opportunities in natural resources and agriculture. He and his family own a majority stake in Bumitama Agri, a Singapore-listed palm oil producer with plantations in Indonesia. Lim also invested in nickel mining, with the Harita Group owning the majority of listed bauxite mining firm Cita Mineral Investindo. Furthermore, he has an integrated nickel processing company, Trimegah Bangun Persada.
