Li Shuirong was born in July 1956, in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Recognizing the potential in the polyester fiber market, he founded the Yinong Network Chemical Fiber Factory in 1989. This marked his entry into the textile industry, producing polyester fiber cloth. As the industry evolved, Li strategically shifted upstream, founding Zhejiang Rongsheng Holding Group. Under his leadership, the company expanded rapidly, with revenues surpassing 1 billion yuan by 2001 and exceeding 30 billion yuan by 2011. A significant milestone was the IPO of Rongsheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd. in 2010, which fueled expansion.
