Karim Atiyeh was born and raised in Lebanon and later moved to the United States. He attended Harvard University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2007 and a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2010. Atiyeh's entrepreneurial journey began at Harvard, where he met Eric Glyman. Together, they founded Paribus in 2014, a price-tracking app that helped consumers reclaim money from price drops. Paribus's rapid growth led to its acquisition by Capital One in 2016. After leaving Capital One, Atiyeh, along with Glyman and Gene Lee, co-founded Ramp in 2019. Ramp is a corporate card and expense management platform targeting startups and SMBs. The company differentiated itself by offering no-fee corporate cards, real-time expense tracking, and integration with accounting software. Ramp reached a $32 billion valuation by November 2025.
