Harald Link

Early Life

Harald Link was born in Basel, Switzerland, on January 12, 1955. He grew up in Lübeck, Germany, before joining his family's business in Thailand. He earned an MBA from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Rise to Success

In 1978, Harald Link joined B.Grimm, a company founded by his grandfather in 1914. He became the CEO in 1987, and under his leadership, B.Grimm expanded into various sectors, including energy, real estate, transportation, healthcare, and digital technologies. A significant milestone was the 2017 IPO of B.Grimm Power PCL, which fueled the company's growth. Link is preparing his daughter, Caroline, to take over leadership of the company.

Key Business Strategies

Link has focused on expanding B.Grimm through joint ventures and strategic partnerships, building long-term relationships with companies like Siemens and Merck. A key strategy has been a major push into renewable energy. He is focused on the long-term goal of renewable energy and the company aims to be carbon neutral by 2050. B. Grimm Power is also expanding its investments in data centers, partnering with Digital Edge.

Philanthropy

Harald Link is deeply involved in philanthropy. He supports the Princess Mother's Charities Fund Foundation and the arts. He is also a patron of the Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation. Link has also supported environmental causes, including WWF-Thailand's Save the Tigers program.
