Jaroslav Haščák was born on August 30, 1969, in Ďurková, Czechoslovakia. He studied international relations at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and Peking University. During his studies, he began importing Chinese textiles to Czechoslovakia with Marek Dospiva.
