Hermanto Tanoko

Early Life

Hermanto Tanoko was born in Malang, East Java, on September 17, 1962, to Soetikno Tanoko and Soeryani. His early life was marked by modest beginnings; his parents were shopkeepers. From a young age, Hermanto assisted his parents in their business, learning the fundamentals of trade and profit. His father started a paint shop in the 1970s, and Hermanto was involved in the business from a young age. He also helped manage a family pharmacy at 14.

Rise to Success

Hermanto joined PT Avia Avian in 1982 after his father started the paint production business in 1978. He became a key figure in the company's growth, eventually becoming the President Commissioner. His strategic vision and management skills were instrumental in transforming Avia Avian into a leading paint manufacturer in Indonesia. He implemented new innovations. The company went public in 2021.
