Haryanto Tjiptodihardjo, an Indonesian citizen, began his path to business success by pursuing higher education in the United States. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1983. Furthering his education, he completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Woodbury University, California, in 1986.
Rise to Success
Haryanto's career took a significant turn when he joined PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk. He joined the company in 1986, after having received his MBA. Under his leadership, the company has become the largest maker of polymer-based roofs in Indonesia. He also leads the company in manufacturing other construction materials like floorboards and pipes. He has expanded operations to several countries, including Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Vietnam. In June 2024, Haryanto sold his Australia-based plastic sheets maker, Mulford Holdings, to Impack Pratama Industri for $53 million, further boosting the company's revenue.
