Early Life
God Semenovich Nisanov was born on April 24, 1972, in Gyrmyzy Gasaba, Azerbaijan SSR. He comes from the Mountain Jewish community. His father, Semyon Davydovich Nisanov, was the director of a canned food factory. After school, God Nisanov studied at the Baku Finance and Credit College, with a specialization in lending and jurisprudence within the social security system.
Rise to Success
In 1992, Nisanov co-founded Kievskaya Ploshchad with Zarakh Iliev. The company initially focused on building markets near metro stations, which were later transformed into shopping centers. The partnership expanded into hotel construction, developing properties throughout Moscow and other parts of Russia. Today, Kievskaya Ploshchad is a leading commercial real estate company in Russia, with Nisanov as its co-owner.
Key Business Strategies
Nisanov and his partner Iliev have focused on acquiring and renovating properties, including shopping centers and hotels, which have become major destinations. Their projects include the Radisson Royal Hotel, the European Shopping Center, and Food City, the largest wholesale food market in Europe. In 2024, Kievskaya Ploshchad claimed the top position in the Forbes ranking of "Kings of Russian Real Estate" with a reported rental income of $1.7 billion.
