Early Life
Filippo Ghirelli was born in Rome, Italy, on January 23, 1980, into an Italian family involved in real estate. He attended international schools and later pursued higher education, graduating from the University of Rome with a degree in Structural Engineering. He furthered his studies with specializations at MIT and Harvard. He also obtained a Master's in Business Administration from LUISS Business School with additional specialization in Financial Markets and M&A.
Rise to Success
Ghirelli began his career as a project engineer in various countries, including Guinea, Ghana, and Mali, working with construction multinationals like Astaldi. Later, he returned to Italy and became the General Manager for the real estate and healthcare operator De Angelis Group in 2007.
In 2009, following the death of its founder, Ghirelli founded Genera Group, a construction and real estate development business. Under his leadership, Genera Group expanded internationally, investing in innovative and sustainable business sectors. In 2024, Ghirelli sold his remaining stake in Genera Group to Swiss investment manager SUSI Partners. In 2024, he launched Infracorp, an investment firm focused on energy, transportation, decentralized AI, and commercial space flight.

Ghirelli, along with his wife Daniela, founded The Ghirelli Initiative, focusing on promoting research projects in Alzheimer's disease and developing strategies for the social impact of post-AI implementation. He is also a member of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and co-chair of Monaco Ambassadors Club.
