Early Life and Education

Fan Daidi was born in Shaanxi Province, China. She excelled academically, earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in chemistry from Northwest University. In 1994, she earned a PhD in biochemical engineering from East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai, becoming one of the first women in China to hold a PhD in that subject.

After graduating, Fan chose to return to Northwest University to teach and research. In 2000, she patented recombine collagen, which became the foundation for Giant Biogene's products.
