Christian Boehringer was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, in 1965. He is a member of the fourth generation of the Boehringer family, who own Boehringer Ingelheim, a leading pharmaceutical company.

Rise to Success

Boehringer's career includes experience as a pharmaceutical product manager at Boehringer Ingelheim in Great Britain and later as a leader of a European pharmaceutical consulting firm. He also spent time in international management at Henkel KGaA before returning to Boehringer Ingelheim. He then took on the responsibility for global CRM project management and later became an Area Manager, responsible for the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Boehringer's influence is primarily through his role as Chairman of the Shareholders' Committee of Boehringer Ingelheim, which represents the interests of the owning families.
