Donald M. "Bubba" Cathy was born on April 22, 1954, into a family of entrepreneurs. His father, S. Truett Cathy, founded the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain. Bubba grew up immersed in the restaurant business, gaining early experience by managing a Chick-fil-A location at the Southlake Mall in Morrow, Georgia, prior to attending college. He is the younger brother of Dan T. Cathy.
