Early Life
Bent Jensen, born in 1951 or 1952, is a Danish businessman who earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern Denmark. His family's entrepreneurial roots trace back to 1907 when his grandfather founded Christian Jensen and Sons, a workshop that initially produced pulleys, grinding mills, and forges.
Rise to Success
In 1976, Bent Jensen took over the running of the company from his father, which then had only seven employees. Recognizing the potential for growth, Jensen identified the need for a new product. His inspiration led to the development of linear actuators, which would become the company's primary product. The company was renamed LINAK in 1984.
