Anthony Joseph Pratt was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on April 11, 1960. He is the son of Richard Pratt, a manufacturing magnate, and Jeanne Pratt, a philanthropist. Pratt attended Mount Scopus Memorial College and graduated from Monash University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons). During his youth, he was involved in philanthropic activities, including pledging donations during his bar mitzvah.
Rise to Success
Pratt began his career at McKinsey & Company in 1982. He later joined his family's company, Visy, and became deputy chairman in 1988. In 1991, he moved to the United States to lead the company's expansion, which grew significantly under his leadership. Pratt Industries' revenue grew from $100 million in 1991 to $3 billion in 2016. After his father's death in 2009, Pratt returned to Australia to become the Executive Chairman of Visy.
