Alexander Svetakov was born in Moscow, Russia, on February 15, 1968. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Machine Building (also known as MIEM) with a degree in engineering.
Rise to Success
Svetakov's entrepreneurial journey began in the early 1990s. He started by importing electronics from Singapore, capitalizing on the high demand in Russia at the time. This venture laid the foundation for his future business endeavors. In 1993, Svetakov co-founded Absolut Holding Company and Absolut Bank. He later sold Absolut Bank to KBC Group in 2007 for approximately $1 billion. Following the sale of the bank, he focused on property development through Absolut Group.
