Early Life
Alexander Sixt was born in 1979, and his family has a long history in the car rental industry. His grandfather, Martin Sixt, founded Sixt in 1912, marking the beginning of the family's involvement in the mobility sector. His father, Erich Sixt, took over the company in 1969, transforming it from a local operation to a global player.
Rise to Success
Alexander Sixt joined Sixt in 2009 and quickly ascended within the company. In 2015, he joined the Executive Board with responsibility for organization and strategy. In June 2021, Alexander and his brother Konstantin were appointed as Co-CEOs of Sixt SE, succeeding their father. As co-CEOs, they have been jointly responsible for the company's overall management and business policies, furthering its expansion in the U.S. market and its digital transformation.

Sixt SE has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program called the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation “Drying little tears.” The foundation supports aid projects worldwide in the areas of education, health, welfare, and emergency aid for children. In close cooperation with the SIXT corporate and franchise countries, more than 440 projects have already been supported in over 70 countries.
