Early Life
Alexander Klyachin was born on May 18, 1967, in Moscow, Russia. Growing up in Moscow, he developed a strong interest in geography and pursued his education in the field. He graduated from Moscow School 57 in 1984. He then studied at Moscow State University, graduating from the Geography Department in 1991. He also graduated from Oregon State University in the USA in 1993 with a major in Geography.
Rise to Success
Klyachin began his career in the finance field in 1993. In the early 2000s, Klyachin shifted his focus to the real estate sector, acquiring land plots in Moscow and the surrounding region. His real estate ventures expanded with his company KR Properties. In 2006, Klyachin founded Azimut Hotels, a hotel chain that specializes in reconstructing old hotels and buildings from the Soviet era in Russian cities.

The Khamovniki foundation has funded over 80 projects since 2010, with a focus on sociological research in Russian regions.
